Why Portico Poles?
Large tents, such as the Bungalow above, will not stay upright using a traditional cross pole frame due to their size and weight. The addition of rooms to each side of the centre dome adds even more pressure to the strength and stability of the tent. This is where Portico™ poles become an important part of any large tent. These steel upright poles brace the corners of the tent, adding strength to the fibreglass pole frame. Due to their upright standing, they also create near vertical walls, which in turn increases the amount of headroom inside the tent. The Portico™ pole system ensures your tent’s stability no matter the weather conditions, giving you peace of mind in the knowledge that when on your next holiday, you’ll be safe and sound inside an OZtrail tent.
